anyone else use this program? I could render out a 1 hour video to MP4 on my previous IMac in 8-9 mins but using my new IT-11 with the same ram but supposedly faster processor its taking over 30 mins. Is there a setting somewhere in my settings I need to deal with or is this what I should expect with this Mini or did I get a Mini that needs to be returned?

Do mini PCs have dedicated graphics cards?

I'm currently considering purchasing a mini PC, but I'm unsure about the graphics capabilities of these compact systems. I know that traditional desktop computers usually have dedicated graphics cards, but I'm not sure if mini PCs offer the same feature.

If they do have graphics cards, could you please provide some examples or recommendations for mini PC models with good graphics performance? I'm looking for a compact and powerful solution that can handle demanding applications without compromising on graphical fidelity.

Where can I get an extra power supply adapter?

I bought an AS 6, and want to easily move it beteen office and home. So I wan't a power supply in each location, so I can just bring the PC box.

The power supply is marked with model "ADP 150 CH D" - but when I search for that, I only find similar looking ones, but with a different connector (with pin inside hole) - the one I have is without a pin inside (the pin is in the computer).

Are there any other PCs using the exact same adapter? What model name?

Featured When to Upgrade RAM and How to Choose RAM

Many customers have encountered difficulty choosing a RAM to upgrade their mini PC.

This article will talk about when to upgrade RAM, how to choose RAM, and the specifications of RAM for our Mini PCs which can be used in selecting RAM.

RAMs are important components that connect the Mini PC's CPU and storage, and they have a very big impact on the Mini PC's performance.

640.png

Simply put, the CPU needs to fetch data from the hard disk when running programs, but the hard disk reading speed is relatively slow, so it needs to use RAM to make a connection. If the memory is not enough, the running speed will decrease, the program response will become slow, or there will be stuttering.

How to know if the Mini PC RAM needs to be upgraded?

When the Mini PC is stuck, we can use the task manager to check the memory usage and judge whether it is caused by insufficient memory, the specific operation is as follows:

Press 【Ctrl+Shift+Esc】 at the same time, open the computer 【Task Manager】, and select 【Details】-【Performance】-【Memory】, if the RAM usage percentage exceeds 90%, it means that the RAM capacity has encountered a bottleneck and needs to be upgraded.

The task manager can also check the number of RAM slots on the Mini PC, and decide whether to replace a larger capacity RAM or directly install another RAM.

Of course, there is another situation, that is "You think the Mini PC needs to upgrade RAM". When you have a clear purpose of use and feel that the RAM is not enough to support your Mini PC running some software, you naturally have requirements for RAM.

640 (3).png

But many friends have encountered various problems after installing RAM by themselves:

①The system did not show the RAM after installing it
②The speed did not improve after changing the RAM
③The Mini PC black screen and could not open after installing the RAM

Isn't it just opening the Mini PC and plugging the RAM into the slot? Where did the problem occur? How can we avoid these problems?

What should I pay attention to when upgrading RAM?

The installation method of RAMs is very simple, but the premise of completing a RAM upgrade is to choose the right RAM, and choosing a RAM requires attention to the following three aspects:

640 (1).png

1. Choose the correct RAM specification.

Because different motherboards support different RAM specifications, before upgrading the RAM, you need to confirm whether the motherboard supports DDR3, DDR4, or the latest DDR5 RAM. At the same time, laptop and desktop RAMs are also different in size and need to be noted when choosing.

2. Confirm the maximum supported capacity of the Mini PC's RAM.

The maximum supported RAM capacity of each Mini PC is different. If it exceeds the maximum supported capacity, it may cause failure to boot or failure to recognize.

3. Confirm the supported frequency of the Mini PC's RAM.

The motherboard and CPU also have requirements for the frequency of RAM. If the Mini PC only supports 2666MHz, inserting a 3200MHz RAM will automatically lower its frequency to 2666MHz. If you are directly installing a new RAM, it is recommended to choose one with the same frequency as your machine's original one.

4. Problems to pay attention to when building dual channels

If you want to make two RAMs on your Mini PC from a dual channel*, you need to choose ones with identical specifications, capacities, and frequencies.

For example, using 16GB 3200MHz RAM and an 8GB 2666MHz one to form a dual channel, 8GB of the 16GB one can form a 2666MHz dual channel with another one, and the remaining 8GB still runs in 2666MHz single channel mode.

*It depends on the action of the memory controller. In theory, it can double the bandwidth provided by two equal-specification memories, thereby effectively improving your Mini PC's running speed.

Summary

If you want to upgrade your Mini PC's RAM correctly, you must consider the specifications, capacity, frequency, and dual channel issues of your chosen ones. Match them with corresponding models.

The following are the RAM specifications of our products. Do you have any questions about these tips? Let me know.

Does cpu affect fps

One of the common questions that gamers have is whether the CPU affects the FPS (frames per second) of their games. The answer is not straightforward, as different games have different requirements and dependencies on the CPU. However, in general, the CPU does have an impact on the FPS, especially when the game is CPU-intensive or when the CPU is bottlenecking the GPU (graphics processing unit).

A CPU-intensive game is one that relies heavily on the CPU to perform complex calculations, such as physics, AI, or simulation. These games tend to have more dynamic and interactive elements, such as destructible environments, large crowds, or realistic weather. Examples of CPU-intensive games are Civilization VI, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and Microsoft Flight Simulator. In these games, a faster and more powerful CPU can improve the FPS by allowing the game to run more smoothly and efficiently.

A GPU bottleneck occurs when the GPU is unable to keep up with the demands of the game, and the CPU has to wait for the GPU to finish rendering each frame. This can happen when the game has high graphical settings, such as resolution, anti-aliasing, or shadows. In this case, a better CPU will not improve the FPS, as the GPU is still the limiting factor. However, a worse CPU can lower the FPS, as it will slow down the GPU even further. Examples of games that can cause a GPU bottleneck are Red Dead Redemption 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Horizon Zero Dawn. In these games, a lower or medium graphical setting can improve the FPS by reducing the load on the GPU.

Does usb4 support egpu

I want to play the latest big games, but I'm worried that the mini pc will barely run them at the lowest settings. I was even a little shocked when I tried to upgrade my pc to run them perfectly and I found out it only has integrated graphics. I can't upgrade it outside of memory and storage. It can't be replaced because the cpu is soldered to death. However, I might consider buying a separate gpu, and I see that IT 11 has usb4 ports. Does usb4 support egpu?

Is fortnite cpu or gpu heavy

Fortnite is a popular online game that requires a decent amount of computing power to run smoothly.

However, is it more CPU or GPU heavy?

This question is important for gamers who want to optimize their performance and settings. The answer is not straightforward, as different aspects of the game may rely more on one component than the other. For example, the graphics quality, resolution, frame rate, and anti-aliasing settings will affect the GPU load, while the physics, audio, and network features will affect the CPU load.

Generally speaking, Fortnite is more GPU heavy than CPU heavy, as it uses Unreal Engine 4, which is known to be more dependent on the graphics card.

However, this does not mean that the CPU is irrelevant, as it still needs to process the game logic and coordinate with the GPU. Therefore, both components are important for a smooth gaming experience, and gamers should balance their hardware and settings accordingly.

Are CPU coolers intake or exhaust

CPU coolers are devices that help to lower the temperature of the processor by transferring heat away from it. There are two main types of CPU coolers: air coolers and liquid coolers.

Air coolers use fans to blow air over a metal heatsink, while liquid coolers use a pump to circulate a liquid through a radiator and a water block. Both types of coolers can be either intake or exhaust, depending on how they are mounted and oriented in the case.

Intake coolers draw fresh air from outside the case and push it over the CPU, while exhaust coolers pull hot air from inside the case and expel it outside. The choice of intake or exhaust depends on several factors, such as the airflow of the case, the position of other components, and the ambient temperature. Generally, intake coolers are more effective at cooling the CPU, but they may increase the overall temperature of the case. Exhaust coolers are less effective at cooling the CPU, but they may improve the overall airflow of the case. Therefore, there is no definitive answer to whether CPU coolers should be intake or exhaust, as it depends on the specific situation and preference of the user.

Is 60 degrees celsius hot for a cpu idle

One of the common questions that computer users have is whether 60 degrees celsius is hot for a CPU idle.

The answer depends on several factors, such as the type of CPU, the cooling system, the ambient temperature, and the workload.

Generally speaking, 60 degrees celsius is not too hot for a CPU idle, but it is not ideal either. A CPU idle means that the processor is not performing any tasks, so it should have a low temperature. A high temperature can indicate that the CPU is not properly cooled, or that there is dust or dirt blocking the airflow. A high temperature can also shorten the lifespan of the CPU and cause performance issues.

Ideally, a CPU idle should have a temperature between 30 and 50 degrees celsius, depending on the model and manufacturer. If your CPU idle is above 60 degrees celsius, you may want to check your cooling system and clean your computer case. You may also want to monitor your CPU temperature under load, as it may rise even higher and cause overheating problems.

Why is YouTube using so much CPU?

YouTube is a popular video streaming platform that offers a variety of content for users to watch. However, some users may notice that YouTube uses a lot of CPU resources when they play videos on their browsers. This can cause their computers to slow down, overheat, or drain the battery faster. Why is YouTube using so much CPU?

There are several possible reasons why YouTube is using so much CPU.

One reason is that YouTube uses a technology called adaptive bitrate streaming (ABR) to adjust the quality of the video based on the network conditions and the device capabilities. ABR can improve the viewing experience by reducing buffering and delivering the best possible quality, but it also requires more CPU power to process the video data.

Another reason is that YouTube uses different video codecs to encode and decode the videos. Some codecs, such as VP9 and AV1, are more efficient and can deliver higher quality at lower bitrates, but they also require more CPU power to decode than other codecs, such as H.264.

A third reason is that YouTube may have some background processes or features that consume CPU resources, such as notifications, chat, comments, annotations, subtitles, or ads. These processes or features may enhance the functionality or interactivity of YouTube, but they also add to the CPU load.

Where does the CPU store it's computations

The CPU, or central processing unit, is the brain of a computer. It performs arithmetic and logical operations on data and instructions. The CPU does not store its computations in itself, but rather in other components of the computer system.

The CPU has a small amount of memory called registers, which store temporary results of computations or data that is frequently accessed. The CPU also communicates with the main memory, or RAM, which stores the programs and data that are currently in use.

The CPU can also access secondary storage devices, such as hard disks or flash drives, which store data that is not needed immediately or frequently. The CPU uses a system of buses, which are wires or circuits that connect different parts of the computer, to transfer data between these components.

How to distinguish dynamic hard disk, volume, and partition?

Do you know the difference between basic hard drives and dynamic hard drives?

Are you confused about what is a primary, extended, or logical partition?

Are you having trouble understanding what volume is and what the difference is between a volume and a partition?

The simple distinction between dynamic hard disk and basic hard disk

Basic Disk: A physical disk accessible by MS-DOS and all Windows-based operating systems. Each partition is an independent entity on the disk.

Basic disks can contain up to four primary partitions, or three primary partitions plus one extended partition with multiple logical drives
Dynamic Disk: Combines unallocated space from multiple disks into a single logical volume, which allows for more efficient use of all space and all drive letters on multiple disk systems.

On a dynamic disk, there is no concept of a partitioned disk, it is named after a "volume".
There is a big gap between volume and partition. The same partition can only exist on one physical disk, but the same volume can span up to 32 physical disks. This is a very practical function on the server. And volumes can also provide a variety of fault tolerance features.

In fact, a general computer is basically a hard disk and a partition is similar to a volume, which is an isolation unit of a hard disk.
Regarding the partitions involved, they are all mentioned in the basic hard disk.

As for volumes, in fact, most dynamic hard disks involve multiple physical hard disks. Commonly used in servers, such as spanned volumes for improving space utilization, striped volumes, and RAID-5 volumes for data backup.

Some other distinctions:

The primary partition is actually similar to the system boot partition, commonly known as the C drive partition.
The extended partition is a partition on a hard disk other than the primary partition. The extended partition is an abstract concept consisting of many logical partitions.
The logical partition is the D disks and E disks that we often see.
