Just got my AS6 and set my MS account as the main user. I set up two local accounts for my employees and these two accounts do not show up on the log in screen.

Dear friend, I hope this helps.

How to Hide or Show User Accounts from Login Screen on Windows 11

If you have multiple user accounts on your Windows 11 PC, you may want to customize how they appear on the login screen. For example, you may want to hide some accounts for privacy reasons, or show all accounts for convenience. I will show you how to hide or show user accounts from the login screen on Windows 11.

Method 1: Do not show the last user name on the Windows login screen

By default, Windows 11 shows the last user name that logged in on the login screen. This can be a security risk if you share your PC with others, as they can see your user name and try to guess your password. To prevent this, you can disable the option to show the last user name on the login screen. Here are the steps:

- Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box.
- Type secpol.msc and click OK to open the Local Security Policy window.
- On the left pane, expand Local Policies and click Security Options.
- On the right pane, double-click Interactive logon: Do not display last user name.
- Select Enabled and click OK to save the changes.
- Restart your PC to apply the settings.

Now, when you go to the login screen, you will see a blank box where you can enter your user name and password.

Method 2: Show all users on the Windows login screen

If you prefer to see all the user accounts on your PC on the login screen, you can enable this option using the Registry Editor. This way, you don't have to type your user name every time you log in. Here are the steps:

- Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box.
- Type regedit and click OK to open the Registry Editor.
- Navigate to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
- On the right pane, right-click an empty space and select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
- Name the new value DontDisplayLockedUserID and set its value data to 3.
- Close the Registry Editor and restart your PC to apply the settings.

Now, when you go to the login screen, you will see all the user accounts on your PC.

Method 3: Show logged in domain users on the Windows login screen

If your PC is part of a domain network, you may want to see only the domain users that are currently logged in on the login screen. This can be useful if you have multiple domain users using the same PC. To enable this option, you need to use the Group Policy Editor. Here are the steps:

- Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box.
- Type gpedit.msc and click OK to open the Group Policy Editor.
- On the left pane, expand Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Logon.
- On the right pane, double-click Enumerate local users on domain-joined computers.
- Select Enabled and click OK to save the changes.
- Restart your PC to apply the settings.

Now, when you go to the login screen, you will see only the domain users that are currently logged in on your PC.

Method 4: Show or hide specific user accounts on the Windows login screen

If you want more control over which user accounts appear on the login screen, you can use this method to show or hide specific user accounts. For example, you may want to hide a guest account or an administrator account from prying eyes. To do this, you need to use the Registry Editor again. Here are the steps:

- Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box.
- Type regedit and click OK to open the Registry Editor.
- Navigate to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
- On the left pane, right-click Winlogon and select New > Key.
- Name the new key SpecialAccounts.
- Right-click SpecialAccounts and select New > Key.
- Name the new key UserList.
- On the right pane of UserList, right-click an empty space and select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
- Name the new value with the exact user name of the account that you want to hide or show on the login screen. For example, if you want to hide a guest account named GuestUser, name it GuestUser.
- Set its value data to 0 if you want to hide it or 1 if you want to show it on the login screen.
- Repeat steps 9 and 10 for any other user accounts that you want to hide or show on the login screen.
- Close the Registry Editor and restart your PC to apply the settings.

Now, when you go to the login screen, you will see only the user accounts that you have specified on the UserList key.
